Are we finally wearing the RW down?

The neocons are punch-drunk. They used to have a swift defense for every attack, but now the responses are sluggish and half-hearted. Everybody's blaming everyone else, and the general mood is pissed off, tired, and evasive.

They've had enough defending a president who's less and less defensible. Everyone hates to be proven wrong, even a neocon, but enough is enough.

Anyone else get that impression?

I don't think I personally, and the nation in general can survive another Neocon controlled executive branch leading the nation at any time.

Neocons and dittoheads are closer to the KKK than to skinheads. Funny you should even bring that point up, because I'm convinced that dittohead/freepers are essentially the ideological descendents of those Americans in the old days who felt it was their privilege as white men to lynch blacks and run Indians off their land.

Most current-day neocons and freepers are not racist (well, at least not explicitly so, in that they don't adhere to an explicit white-supremacist ideology like they would have a century ago), because society has advanced to the point where racism is no longer acceptable thanks to the courageous efforts of liberals.

But they have exactly the personality types such that if they were alive a century earlier, they would be burning all-black towns in Oklahoma (anyone see Rosewood?) or lynching Chinese laborers in anti-Asian riots in California.

12. The only way the RW will change is by some sort of traumatic ...

event. An event like a devastating economic collapse or a war that requires a sacrifice directly from them and disrupts their lives in a significant way. Otherwise they are going to be around until that happens.
