Republicans = Dallas Cowboy fans

I grew up in Texas in the 70s and 80s,
and was NOT a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. So as a person who did not drink the silver and white Kool-Aide I was able to look with a sober eye at those who did.

I saw a group who was used to winning,
who expected every year to end at the Super Bowl, preferably with a win.

They never admited defeat. In the event the scoreboard reflected a non win, the spin would begin.....
the other team cheated,
the refs cheated,
they got bad calls,
or Rodger was playing with triple pneumonia, and it was a miracle he took the field at all.


I see Republicans are in the same frame of mind right now.
They are never wrong.

It's either the fault of the left wing commie Liberals (it used to be those in congress until they took the majority, now it is all left wing commie liberals)

or America Haters around the world,

there is NO introspection,
there is no admission of shortcomings.

adn man, i tell you, was a football fan. i would watch the cowboys and what whiners and crybabies they were. like no other team i had seen. use to tease the cowboy fans so. since babies, dont follow football anymore

that perhaps the Cowboys vs. the Redskins was like the Republicans vs. the Democrats, except that Coach George Allen's son is one of the biggest Republican asses in Congress.

4. Since the post-Tom Landry era

I used to make a good deal of money making what we call "Cowboy sucker bets". Most die-hard Cowboy fans will take the Cowboys and give you more points than should be morally allowed! Frankly its fraud on my part but they're so damn gullible!

The bookies have always been well aware of this here. They used to routinely offer a line that was 2 to 3 points more in the Cowboys favor than the Las Vegas line.

On the third try, Dallas FINALLY beat the Steelers in the Superbowl.

Took three times, and nearly two decades . . .
