I have a university-provided Ethernet connection, but if I'm not on campus, it's worthless.

I leave tomorrow afternoon, so I still have a few hours left, but after that, I won't see you all until August...:cry::cry::cry::cry:

1. I remember the feeling ...

Having to go back dial up connection after university-provided Ethernet was no fun . I went through withdrawal .August will come fast . Enjoy your summer :)

2. I won't even have that luxury.

Considering my parental unit makes about $22K/year (with overtime) in Chicago, I won't have internet for anything other than to check my e-mail once a week or so. It's called the phone bill.

3. That was the only reason I found a job ...

to support my " internet " habit . I know its sad . Plus my mother needed help with the bills anyone and I chose the phone bill. And at that time my parental unit made the same about of money as yours . I found a job to support my internet habit , but hey it made me resposible money wise in the end .

4. Try the public library

all the libraries abound here have internet access. They limit you to 30 minutes/session, but its better than nothing. And free to boot.

5. If I can find one...

I don't have a car and live in the concrete jungle known as suburbia. To make it even worse, I live in the Evil, SUV-Magnet, Commercial Empire of the concrete jungle, known as Schaumburg, IL. Sidewalks and pedestrian signals are haphazard at best; it's NOT SAFE to walk there.:scared:

And I don't think I have ever seen a library in that concrete jungle. Stupid republikkkans. A school library would seem good, but how would I access such a thing over summer break?

The closest thing I can think of to a library that is remotely feasible is spending 6 hours at the local Barnes and Noble. But they don't have computers with free internet access.:shrug:

And about that summer job...yeah, I need that money for other things, like tuition.
