I hated it in the "mini series" remake of Battlestar Galactica, and I'm hating it (very much) in NBC's "10.5" movie. (I DVR'd it.)
It's not just a mild annoyance... it's so frelling distracting that I'm this close --> <--- to just pressing the Stop button and deleting it off of my ReplayTV.
If I want to see Shaky-Cam effects, I'll watch my home movies or bad porn (which are NOT the same thing, so stop thinking that.)
The "can't-stay-focused" effect and the "accidental-sudden-zoom-in" effect followed by the "corrective-action-zoom-back-out" effect are just IDIOTIC and do absolutely nothing to make the movie more realistic or believable.
It just makes it look like it was filmed by a bunch of high school students working on a video project.
Grrrr.

Am I the only one who feels this way? When will this trend ever end? It started with NYPD Blue, and just won't go away. Aaaaaah.
(Thanks for listening.)
