1. Winchester
It's always nice to see a pompous blowhard get comeuppance. Winchester was hilarious, whether he was giving or getting.

3. Hot Lips Houlihan.
I thought she was really hot which probably explains my later infatuation with Miss Piggy.

6. What a fantastic cast
I can honestly say, going down the list, I cannot pick a "favorite." They were all great.

7. Given how insufferable everyone, especially Alda, got in the end
I'd say the psychiatrist who popped up every dozen episodes. He was pleasant, and seemed to be the only one in the final seasons who didn't go blind, get lost behind enemy lines or scream at the heavens "When will this damned war end!?"

16. Agree 100%!
I loved Sidney Freeman.

The time he tore Col. Flagg to shreds was a classic.
(The episode with the bomber crewman who flipped out and decided he was Jesus)

14. Frank Burns-because he made me laugh the most
Ferret face!

MASH was great until Alan Alda started writing and directing. Then he had to make a point too often.

18. Right on
Frank Burns was the best character. He was the most deplorable petty little piece of crap, and thus, the most interesting!

Edited on Tue May-04-04 02:44 PM by geniph
He was always my favorite. So quiet and gentle, but every once in awhile, he'd get off a killer zinger.

He was downright SEXY, too.
