About the purported "job recovery"

Forget it's all temp, part time, or crap retail jobs.

The REAL jobs employers offer are looking for experienced people only. Nobody's looking for graduates.

Makes all that money you spent in school worthwhile, huh?

This isn't :tinfoilhat:, I have a friend who works for an temp/employment agency and he has seen this pattern emerging.

With luck, the babyboomers who retire will re-open the market for the rest of us. Unfortunately, their latching onto SS and Medicare will in turn probably cause another economic hiccup, these "economists" have a habit of going bonkers everytime somebody drops a pin!

Oh well. :-(

1. I think most of the jobs are over in Iraq

Lots of contractor jobs driving trucks, loading "cargo" into planes, etc.

I hear the fringe benefits suck, though. Cafeteria food ain't so hot either.

2. went from 12+ an hour

to 7.20 an hour. i may get hired perm. but some employers just "fire" the temp then hire another..keeps wages low.
baby boomers are going to work past 65- most can`t afford the loss of money and health insurance. it really sucks i`m 57 and i`ll have to work past 65 because of bush`s fucking debt...there`s a shit load of us that will still be working well past our "time"
