Fictional character from a movie that you fell in love with
I’m not talking about the actor or actress who portrayed the character, I’m referring to the actual fictitious character in the context of the movie or TV show. For example, you could fallen in love with or had a crush on Jed Bartlett from “The West Wing” or Lorelei Gilmore from “The Gilmore Girls”. You can list the name of the actors or actresses who portrayed the character but I emphasize that this is about the character and not the actor or actress. And please keep this thread clean

Any takers?

6. This is embarrassing but here is mine
Ivan Drago in Rocky IV as played by Dolph Lundgren. He was the icy cold blond boxer from Russia with the great body and sexy accent. I know he isn't really Russian but the character is and that made him all the sexier to me. Russia still have a forbidden quality to it which I find strangely attractive. OK, go ahead and laugh now.

16. Tia Malone in "Escape to Witch Mountain"
Hey, I was her age at the time, so it's not sick! For some reason that movie and that character affected me. I wrote a sequel to it in fifth or sixth grade, even. I used to lay in bed at night and try to turn the lightswitch on with my mind, because I wanted to be like her brother in the film.

20. That was at the end
They went by Malone, but when they were being interviewed by a sheriff at the end, he asked their names, and they both said Castaway. It was tied to their visions.

And no, I don't remember it that clearly all these years later, I've watched it with my kids recently. It's still a good movie, I was glad to see. A lot of stuff I liked when I was little was really bad.

I went to DisneyWorld a couple of years ago, and they had the miniature of the flying RV on display on the backlot tour of the MGM park. It's gone now, but it brought back memories, so I tracked down a VHS copy of the film.

Incidentally, Tia is played by Kim Richards, whose sister is the mother of Paris and Nicky Hilton, according to IMDB.

I saw it as the "warriors" film quite a number of years ago, then saw it again at an anime film festival in Japanese presumably under the proper title. It was barely recognizable as the same movie.

60. Good choice MVD
And "A Christmas Carol" is one of my favorite tales -and probably my favorite story by Dickens-and they do some wonderful movie versions of this one which I have enjoyed immensely.

Having started the thread, I should probably provide some answers. Here they are in list of preference
(1) Dr Eva Warden (Maternal Instincts) -portrayed so very well by Beth Broderick
(2) Sabrina Crane (Maternal Instincts)-portrayed by Sandra Nelson
(3) Dr Valerie Somers (Lantana) portrayed by Barbara Hershey
(4) Jackie Harrison (Stepmom) portrayed by Susan Sarandon
(5) Aunt Hilda (Sabrina) portrayed by Sherry Miller
(6) Aunt Zelda (Sabrina) portrayed by Beth Broderick
(7) Aunt Hilda (Sabrina the TV series) portrayed by Caroline Rhea
(8) Aunt Zelda (Sabrina the movie) portrayed by Charlene Fernetz
(9) Jamie Carter (in the episode "Designing Women" of Family Ties) -portrayed by Deborah Engle
(10) DA Karen Fitzgerald (in I can't remember what episode of "Law and Order"). Admittedly we don't see her because she is murdered but her character and personality made me fall in love with her

I better stop there because this list could go on forever

As played by Colin Firth in the BBC miniseries of Pride and Prejudice.

I also really love Mr. Knightly from Emma, played by Jeremy Northam.

And finally, as hot-blooded 30-something, I'll admit to drooling over both Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) and Legolas (Orlando Bloom).

That's the Bill Pullman I fell in love with.

(He plays kind of a yutz in "Sleepless in Seattle"--the guy with allergies who gets dumped for Hanks.)

But my first love--the Prince in "Slipper and the Rose"--played by Young Dr. Kildare, aka Richard Chamberlaine.

(Yes, I know now that he's on the other side of the fence, but he was gorgeous in that. Costumes, singing, romance.)

Both in the novel and in the mini-series. Gus had more faults than I could possibly name, but he was NEVER at a loss for words -- or wit. Come hell or high water (and there was plenty of both in LD), he could keep you laughing. No wonder both Clara and Lorena fell for him.
