DU Ladies: Do you have CFM hair?
I think I do. This comes from LynnSin talking about her CFM pumps.

Let me explain.

I color my hair to keep the gray under control and not look older than I am. There. I said it. Mostly it's been kind of a dark blonde color (I'm fair-skinned and blue-eyed), nothing too out there.

Well, a couple of weeks ago, I bought a different, lighter shade than I normally use. This kit was fun because it was base color plus highlighter. Weeee! :bounce:

Since then, I've met two guys worth dating. This has never happened in my entire life! And gotten all kinds of compliments I've never noticed before.

I'm not complaining but what is it with guys and long, blonde hair? LOL!

8. Geez Bertha, you a kpharmer need
to get out more. "Case File Memorandum?"

CFM = Come F*** Me

LynnSin was talking about a pair of shoes the other day and used this expression. ;-) I thought it was funny.

22. oh, yeah...
I know what FM pumps are, and I figured out what the "C" was.

No question though: I am a prude. At an outdoor event today someone suggested I take off my denim shirt -- I'm wearing a tank top under it -- but I demurred because my bra straps show. You should've seen the eyes roll.

23. At the Marcia Ball concert
the other night, there was a woman there who had on a very lovely burgundy, A-line cocktail dress for dancing. It was a straigh-across neckline with spaghetti straps.

She had on transparent bra straps. I found myself dying to know if the whole bra was like that or just the straps. LOL! But I didn't ask.

24. I'd've asked!
In the crowd at a Marcia Ball concert, certainly she would've demonstrated. . . .

I love Marcia Ball. Mrs. V. turned me on to her.

Awesome!

I see her all the time. She comes to trivia night at my favorite pub. I guess she won't be there tonight, if she's on the road. :D

28. Yeah, Baby!
Marcia was at the Durham Armory Saturday night.

She's Awesome!! The concert was hosted by the Triangle Swing Dance Society.

Unfortunately my date is not a dancer so we spent a lot of time watching. Oh well.

Marcia tore the roof off that sucka!!

She seems very personable.

She's as tall as the rest of her band. I will say again: they were SMOKIN'.

Does she have a website? I'd like to have some of her music, but I couldn't buy it right then.

27. It's just the straps that are transparent.
They even have bras now with interchangable straps, some of which are transparent. Some others are meant to be seen. I think either Frederick's of Hollywood or Victoria's Secret (or both) makes them.

36. I've seen the interchangable straps
just not the transparent ones.

I'm not sure, though. I think I still would have gone the traditional strapless route. ;-)

31. I'm pretty sure they have those at Fredericks
I seem to recall seeing them on the Website. The rest of the bra is white, but the straps are clear for under sheer/strapless type stuff.

13. "Natural blonde"
In _Tough Guys Don't Dance_, the narrator says that he really LIKES fake blondes but not natural blondes. Natural blondes just happened to have been born that way. But fake blondes have bought into all the symbolism of blondeness--they know what it means and that's what they're aiming for. CFM, indeed.

10. I don't know. I can't quite put my finger on it.
Maybe I just think it's crude, and breaks the whole complex game of flirtation and seduction down to a simple order/request. I honestly don't know.

7. Yes...yes I do...
I have long dark brown hair (with a teeny bit of red) almost all the way down to my hips. It just falls down my back in wild loose curls. Guys who have no desire to "do" me have been known to run their fingers through it without even thinking about it. And I can't tell you how many men I've been with who seemed to constantly want to have a fistful of my hair.

All that being the reasons I keep my hair the way it is. :)

33. I receive many flattering comments
about my hair and I've not suffered the lack of attention from potential suitors since puberty. :hi:

I know men who are attracted to every hair colour. I suspect the reason you're getting so much notice lately is that you're happy with the effect and 'broadcasting' a more self-confident vibe.

21. CFM hair?
I think that is hysterical! Love it. No orders, just INTENSE flirtation. I started putting blonde in my hair about 7 years ago for fun and because my hair is light brown and kinda mousy looking. Getting close to 50 with mousy hair was kind of a drag so now it is all light brown with lots of blonde highlights. In the summer we lighten it up and add a tiny bit of lavendar to the blonde and it really looks amazing. Everyone I knew raved about it when I started and nobody believes I am 50 (Shhhh, they are being polite, I KNOW that!) but it is still nice. Yup, more flirting with the blonde.

Debra Messing on "Will & Grace".

I totally don't care for the blonde thing. I like Uma Thurman, but she doesn't need to be blonde...

43. I guess I do
I like my hair long and it's blonde (I'm always switching around the variety of blonde every few years), but I'd guess I'd qualify under this qualifier. I get complimented on how I look a lot lately, but looking nice for me right now and having anyone express an interest in the circumstances of my life is rather like a form of torture in some respects.

44. Mine's fanny-length and red
I get a lot of compliments on it, but I got a lot more heads turning and immediate attention when it was blonde. Blonde hair just catches people's eye more quickly.

What's funny is that I didn't start out coloring it. I started out swimming twice a day, then when I stopped, I had two-tone hair, because the roots hadn't been exposed to chlorine. People started asking me why I no longer dyed my hair. I got tired of answering that question by explaining that I no longer swam daily, so I finally started dyeing it so people would quit asking why I didn't dye it!

These days, I add a little more red that Mother Nature intended to cover up the grey that she does intend. It's reddish anyway, I just make it a bit brighter. I like it a lot, but there's no question I got more immediate attention with long blonde hair. Some guys have an out and out fetish for really long blonde hair.

But I prefer the guys with a bit of a fetish for redheads.
