* just lost another voting bloc
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - President Bush will hold a televised press conference Tuesday night, causing networks to pre-empt their schedules and sending FOX in particular scurrying to re-work its lineup to fit both editions of its top-rated series, "American Idol," into the rest of the week.
Bush's news conference is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET Tuesday (April 13). The president is expected to field questions on Iraq and issues raised by the 9/11 commission about his administration's preparedness for the attacks.

All four major networks and the cable news channels will likely cover the event, the third prime-time press conference of Bush's presidency; as of late Monday afternoon, ABC, CBS and NBC hadn't announced what they would do with programs that will be bumped.

2. When * came to WI, he pre-empted Days of our Lives
Apparently, it was the episode where the serial killer killed someone who was on the show for decades. It was a much-anticipated episode (I don't watch it, so I'll take others' word for it).

Don't piss off the soap audience in a swing state...

6. Hey, I'm an American Idol voter
So put your prejudices away. At least I'm smart enough to use capital letters, correct grammar, and know the difference between "there" and "their."

10. I don't care what kind of geek you are
The way you speak and write in public fora says a great deal about who you are and the kind of pride you take in presenting yourself to others. If you want people to think you are a sloppy thinker and a generally careless human being, then, by all means, pay no attention to your spoken and written language.

11. frankly...
i dont give a shit about what anyone else thinks of me. people judge thier personal worth too much by what others think. excuse me for not conforming.

no reason to attack me, thiers more to me than what im putting in my posts, and im sure thiers more to you than what you write. dont judge me, im not judging you.

12. You judged me from the beginning
You judged me and all American Idol watchers when you said we were too unintelligent to choose a leader.

Using proper English is not conforming. It is using an accepted standard for clear expression of thoughts. You wouldn't abide sloppiness in math; math doesn't allow for that. Why would you want to use sloppy speech?

13. not the meaning i had intended.

1. all i said was there was a massive lack of talent on american idol. on top of that, it was a joke, if you couldnt have seen that, im sorry, so so sorry. and as for the voter remark, unfortunatley sarcasam is not conveyed in typing as easily as it is in speaking.

2. the conformity thing was refering to the 'if you dont care what people think about you...' comment, not to the proper english.

well, whatever.

some people have no sense of humor.

9. Watch the Princess Bride instead
Did last night and was amazed at the parallels my frazzled brain made to what going on. Humperdink is Bush, the Count is Cheney, Humperdink want to start a war by blaming the death of his bride on the other country. The cowardice of Hump and the count are so juicy. I'll bet Clarke's wife gets him by going around like Valery shouting, "Bush, Bush, Bush"
