Has there ever been any evidence that Iraq actually sponsored
terrorism as a state? I know Saddam gave money to families that suffered a loss because a family member became a suicide bomber. I'm not sure feeling compassion for a family who just suffered a horrible loss actually equates to supporting terrorism or not but except for that questionable act, has Iraq ever been caught actually supporting terrorism? I know talk is sometimes considered support and Saddam has been guilty of talking against Israel and the US but did he ever do more than talk? Do we have concrete evidence that we are battling state sponsored terrorism in Iraq?

2. Helped Palestinian terrorists
At least rhetorically. Admits he sent money to Hamas and suicide bombers. I don't know if there's any evidence.

6. They did allow
Abu Abbas and Abu Nadal organizations to base out of Iraq.

Abu Nadal was found dead by Iraqi security forces a few months before the invasion. He seems to have shot himself in the head several times.

4. Saddam support terrorist
Does the actions of the leader of a country count as the actions of a country?

From Fresno Bee letter to the editor http://www.fresnobee.com/opinion/lets_ed/story/7940715p-8816345c.html (you should research yourself to confirm the information):

On April 14, U.S. Army Special Forces captured Abu Abbas in Baghdad. Abbas was the mastermind of the hijacking of the cruise ship Achille Lauro in 1985. American Leon Klinghoffer was murdered and thrown overboard, still in his wheelchair, by terrorists who took their orders from Abbas.

An Italian court convicted Abbas of murder and sentenced him to life in prison. Saddam gave Abbas sanctuary in Iraq. . . .Moreover, recent articles published in the British press have reported that there is evidence that Abbas met with and helped train Sept. 11 hijacker Mohammed Atta.
____

That being said, if we invaded, decimated, and established a new American controlled government for every country because of the actions of their dictator, then America's Military Might would be thinly spread over the world.

5. Iraq was one of two countries sending money to families
of the suicide bombers. Saudi Arabia was the other. The government questioned Saudi Arabia about it saying it was supporting terrorism. The Saudis responded saying it wasn't supporting terrorism, it was just being nice to the poor familys who lost loved ones. END OF CONVERSATION! But we invaded Iraq (which week was this the excuse?) for doing the same thing.
