It's great that other countries are limiting their weapons programs to defense instead of offense.

When is the USA going to do the same, in the name of world peace?

We sure as Halliburton aren't an ideal candidate to be the world's police. That's why we have the UN. (so why didn't the UN punish Bush* for Iraq?)

1. Actually, Bush has started a new global arms race.
The press has certainly had lots to say about North Korea, Pakistan and India, and I think it's safe to assume other nations have secret programs designed to counter U.S. agression/lunacy. Since nuclear weapons are so expensive, complex and difficult to hide, it seems logical that other nations are focusing on biological weapons.

2. Out of our "cold dead hands"

Don't see it happening anytime soon. It's a hypocritical policy isn't it? We're basically assuming "we're the good guys" and that we'll always be "the good guys" when any history book will tell you otherwise.

4. As I've often said, the US is a "hypocracy"...

Says one thing, does the other. How long before they start breaking peoples' legs then say "Come lean on me!"? Though, in monetary terms, we are and doing so in the name of helping them become industrialized. (which is also bad, if the US is the most industrialized and we create all the waste and pollution, repeating this throughout the world doesn't sound like a good thing to do and we ourselves must cut back too.)

The US is hardly an example of "a more perfect union", "by, of, for the people", "all men are created equal" (which sounds much more like socialism and not unregulated vicious dog-eat-dog uncivilized capitalism-gone-evil), and dozens of other Constitutional catchphrases...

History is often re-written by the victors. Religions augmented by the unscrupled for personal or political gain...

How much of world history should be taught in class again, if most of it is biased or questionable?

Of course, I'd then get the fundies' knickers in a nit... So much the better. :D

7. Are YOU an American who has studied history?
Just curious...It appears that you are unconcerned that other countries may be quietly building their nuclear arsenals while King George plans to eliminate the 'EVIL DOERS' from the planet.

Unfortunately, we have become one of the most hated countries during his administration. And it's directly related to Bush's foreign policy.

3. You realize, of course, that the next step will be for the NeoCons to...
...state that the Libyans are lying.
