Dubya on weapons vs. programs: "What's the difference?"
DIANE SAWYER: But stated as a hard fact, that there were weapons of mass destruction as opposed to the possibility that he could move to acquire those weapons still —

PRESIDENT BUSH: So what's the difference?

excerpts from last night's interview

Is he really that stupid? Does he think the Murkin People are that stupid? Both?

1. bush is an idiot.
I am ashamed to live in country that would allow a buffoon like bush to ascend to the presidency.

3. His supporters really are that stupid.
They'll believe anything this man says. Dems have to keep the fire on him with this issue.

23. Don't know that it will help, because...
They'll believe anything this man says. Dems have to keep the fire on him with this issue.

... his supporters think that anyone who even thinks about attacking the U.S. ought to be eliminated. It's really bad when they actually try it, but it's bad enough that they should think it. It goes to control issues.

6. we based our evidence on ... "National Intelligence Estimate"
is this a new term?

"a gathering threat" is new, too, isn't it?

ask about the oil Diane!!! the oil ... where's the cash and the gold? come on Diane, ... oh well ..................

interesting that the excerpts opened with one of Bush's biggest smoke screens ... religion ... from there on ... Diane 'on the case' Sawyer's 'yets' and 'buts' RE WMD go nowhere BUSH: Well, you can keep asking the question and my answer's gonna be the same.

DIANE SAWYER: One of the questions that I guess people have is: Does your confidence come from feeling that — that God is behind you?

PRESIDENT BUSH: My confidence comes from a lot of sources. I do — I am sustained by the prayers of the people in this country. I guess an appropriate way to say this, it's one of the beautiful things about America and Americans from all walks of life is that they're willing to pray for the President and his family. And that's powerful. It's hard for me to describe to you what that means. It's — let me just say this: It's a leap of faith to understand. And — but I am a confident person, I am, because I believe in the values of America. I believe in what we stand for. I'm confident because I've got assembled a great team. ... I'm confident in my management style. I'm a delegator because I trust the people I've asked to join the team. I'm willing to delegate. That makes it easier to be president. ...

Bush: "...because Saddam Hussein used weapons of mass destruction, invaded Kuwait..." wasn't Iraq punished for that? sanctions, starvation, bombing, etc.?

15. We need to do a wiccan binding ritual
Shrub, we invoke the power of the Goddess to prevent you from harming yourself or others.

Wrap a silver thread around a picture of Bush three times, saying this each time you wrap it around the picture.

As above, so below

So mote it be.

We pray for the President all right. We pray that he is re-defeated in 2004.

17. You don't understand.
A paper cut COULD get infected, and then you could take antibiotics, but then the infection could be resistant to antibiotics, so then they could give you stronger drugs, and then you could have an allergic reaction to the medicine, and then you could end up in the hospital where that murdering nurse works, and then he could kill you and you'd be dead from a paper cut.

And that's how a weapons program is an imminent threat.

See. A paper cut is just as dangerous as an ax wielding madman. And you, in your sarcasm, thought it wasn't.

Well, i guess i should quit DU now since i obviously have been fished in by Li'l Georgie.

13. We didn't help end WWII with a "program"
If we were still in a "program", then there would not have been two very large mushrooms in Japan.

I can have a program with no tangible results.

I have a program for being a millionaire. Now, I am not a millionaire . . .

there wouldn't have been two :nuke: either!

* is so imbecilic...you stop programs with diplomacy not war! That's why we're working with N. Korea and Iran. So that we don't have to go to war!

This should be enough to get him in line behind Saddam for war crimes, but it'll disappear off the front pages because President Cheetah will find a way to Wag the Dog again!

I understand that, right before nappie time, our Fierce Warrior Chieftain spends an hour playing computer games, and some pretty tough ones, too.

That's using a computer isn't it?

immanent threat.
