Are there any Democrats who'll stay home if Dean's nominated?
I'm talking about Southerners and swing state voters, and not just because they feel Dean's unelectable, but genuinely feel he's too liberal for their taste. Are there enough of these voters who would vote for Clark, Kerry, or Lieberman, but NOT Dean, because they feel he's too LIBERAL. BTW I have run into someone who fits this description.

2. I hope to not have to address this but I would probably go
even if I feel it's useless. Voting is a civic duty for me. I go every time.

7. THis is why I prefer Clark
I think that problem would be much less severe if we have a brilliant, telegenic, erudite, Southern war hero running.

8. If he has a D by his name, I will vote for him no matter what...
...even if I have to hold my nose, bathe in muriatic acid, and get totally drunk afterwards if that person happens to be Lieberman on the ballot.

11. Some Democrats Will Stay Home No Matter WHO Is Nominated
The key to evaluating electoral strength is to look at the entire picture, IMO.

I'm not nutso about Dean and he scares the crapola out of me. But I will vote for whoever the democratic nominee is without any hesitation.

13. All the Democrats I know will vote ABB
Wish I could say the same for some Independents I know. They say they hate Bush but if it is Dean vs. Bush they probably won't vote at all.

Sad but true.

18. Since this post, my stance has changed. If Dean is NOT the candidate
I will stay home or go third party.

This is my stance unless whoever is nominated comes out soon to denounce the new anti-Dean ad.

15. Why?
That'd be the stupidest thing a Democrat could do. We all know we need to get rid of the Bush crime family from office. Who cares who gets the nomination? All I know, on election day, I'm putting that "X" next to Lieberman, Clark, Dean, Kucinich...whoever gets the nomination.

There's no excuse for a Democrat to not vote on election day.

16. My state is one of the reddest of the red.
I've thought about voting for the Communist Party candidate or
something -- it wouldn't make a difference and I could check out the results in the paper and say, "look, there I am!" I'll probably just vote for the Democrat like I always do, though.

Stay home?? Hell, I'll be lucky to even GO home that day!

-Vote at 730 am
-Starting canvassing at 8am
-Breakfast/brunch at 3-4 area joints, shaking hands
-Organizing volunteers to drive elderly, handicapped to the polls
-Lunch in a few places in Medina County, shaking hands
-Setting up victory party
-Walking a few malls, shaking hands
-CONSTANT phone calls to volunteers located around the district
-Dinner back at a few places in Stark County, shaking more hands
-Final 2 hours on the phone, urging more voters to GOTV
-Return to hotel at 745pm, preparing for 8pm election returns
-Victory party begins at 10pm for me (volunteers and staff start at 7pm)

Stay home? Not even for one minute.

21. How stupid would one have to be for Dean to be too LIBERAL...
for christ'sake. Even Molly Ivins in her odd ravenous hunger for a half a loaf conceded that Dean is to the right of Bill Clinton

22. It's getting close to the opposite being true for me
If the rest of the Democrats keep attacking Dean under the guise of some "unaffiliated" Democratic interest group I'll be staying home UNLESS Dean is the nominee.

me home, but I will hold my nose and vote for Lieberman. It's important to run Bush out of Washington first.

25. he's to conservative
for me. His being a liberal is a bunch of crock, but I would go and vote. The reason would be that there would be other local elections that would be more important to me, than Dean becoming president.

26. TOO Liberal?
Err.. no. I will not stay home, I will vote for him. I like Dean. The only reason I support Clark for the Democratic nomination is because I believe Clark can BEAT BUSH SILLY. I mean just totally demolish him with no worries. Ideally I'd want someone along the lines of Dennis Kucinich, or if he were still alive: Paul Wellstone. So no. Dean is definitely not too liberal to me.
