Don't let the media pick our candidates: Sharpton, Kucinich, M-Braun, etc!
The media is trying to pick our candidates. Within three days:

-ABC/Ted Koppel attacks Kucinich, Braun, and Sharpton for 45 minutes
over poll numbers and money, yet not a single primary vote has been cast.

-ABC and MSNBC removed their embedded reporters from those campaigns.

-The NY Times published a smear on Rev Sharpton.

Regardless of who you're supporting, please be aware:
This is part of an orchestrated media campaign against three Dem candidates.

4. Hey, your hypothesis is incorrect because..
..Rush Limbaugh said some good things about Kucinich the other day! And The Daily Show showed a segment/interview with Sharpton. Clearly, the media loves freedom and democracy.

6. Do you think anyone who listens to Rush is going to vote for a

Democrat? I don't. But people claiming to be impartial journalists should try to do some impartial journalism rather than inflate one candidate's lead while telling others they're "vanity candidates" who should drop out.

7. Havent you heard?
When I was asleep last night, Rush Limbaugh told me that he's going to endorse John Edwards next week. And Fox does NOT have a higher opinion of Republicans than Democrats--they told me this last night. I believe them.

GO MEDIA!! MEDIA POWER YAY!

8. This is so much more important than most people realize.
We are allowing the media to tell us what we believe.
Ok, we here on DU probably are not, but too many people are.
I had a talk with a coworker Wednesday and I could not believe the false informant she believed as truth.

10. you bet
As well as the matter of whether the media gives us accurate information, at least as important is the range of ideas that the news media permits. They could be completely accurate within, say, a center-right to far-right situation, and you would never know that there are other choices.

They control the context for the most part. It isn't pretty.

13. Thanks for the post
But I think the MSNBC reference is not accurate. Unless you know something I don't. MSNBC pull-out was posted here yesterday based on discussion apparently on a Dean blog but the poster backed off when unable to provide any support.

Its the ABC embeds that were pulled off. I know its confusing because until that point I think most folks were unaware ABC had any embeds whatsoever whereas MSNBC's embeds are well known. At least that is my guess as to how MSNBC rumor arose.

14. I asked this elsewhere and I'll ask it again
Why isn't the Democratic Party leadership raising holy hell about this?

Oh, yeah, we don't HAVE any party leadership.
