Are We Becoming Desenitized to * Scandals?
There's a new lie, display of hypocricy or piece of information that comes across this message board every day. Any one of them - if taken all the way - would result in a scandal.

But the Republicans hold congress, the White house, the Judicial branch and the media. When we screm & yell - and even get some play - the story still dies (Plame). So why bother screaming and yelling?

Are we at least keeping score, so when we can do something about it, we will? Or are we letting this stuff die because we feel jaded, defeated & powerless?

1. good question!
Sometimes I fear I am getting de-sensitized to the onslaught of criminal-type activity, and the fact they are getting away with it.

Especially like the Plame thing. WTF happened to that story? And the Enron execs - shouldn't they be prison or something?

However, whenever I hear of a judge somewhere who uses his/her power for GOOD, I am heartened. And when I hear about Soros and his contribution, I am heartened.

The question remains: what can I do, as an individual, to counteract the evil?

3. Bush should have been impeached long ago
When I first heard about the Niger forgery, I could hardly believe it.

All this stuff is on tape, all the WMD lies. And the Novak thing, it's incredible, it's in black and white, it can't poossibly be disputed, senior administration officials outed that CIA agent for revenge.

And Bush said "we found the WMD", it's on tape.

But you're right, it's hard to keep up the outrage when it seems to be going nowhere.

4. Not desensitized
Just increasingly pessimistic about * and Co. ever having to answer for any of them. I do believe he could even get a blow job from an intern and get away with it.

6. they'd praise him for it
Tweety would say "America wants a goat fucker" and Fineman would ask whether any democrat could satisfy the goat like Bush did.

7. LOL!
I can just image such an episode of Hardball after witnessing the near orgasmic delight Tweety took in the carrier landing stunt. You have Tweety and Howard pegged exactly.
