Libertarians target GOP over tax vote (Oregon-funny)
Sixteen Republican legislators who voted this year for an $800 million tax increase should resign if voters reject the increase, Libertarian Party of Oregon officials declared Monday.

If those Republicans don't resign, Libertarian candidates will run against them next year in an effort to pull fiscally conservative votes away and prevent the Republicans from winning, said Libertarian Chairman Tom Cox and other party officials.

<snip>

They also called for House Speaker Karen Minnis, R-Wood Village, to
resign immediately, saying she engineered the tax package's passage
even though Republicans held the majority of the House's 60 seats. Minnis voted against the tax package.

"For members of one political party to call for elected members of another party to resign is a bit odd," Minnis spokesman Chuck Deister said. "That's like Republicans calling on elected Libertarian officials to resign, but wait, there aren't any."

Now, here's a third party to root for! If the Libertarians split the radical right vote, it will hand Oregon's legislature over to the Dems.

Go, Libertarians!
