I donate to DU but I come here less and less. I "dang" sure don't steer other Democrats here. You have to wade through so much "manure" to find anything worthwhile. So may hard feelings are being generated by the flame wars hurled between different groups supporting different candidates that I am seriously afraid it will make unification of DU members/participants behind the eventual nominee range from impossible at the worst to tepid at best.

Bush is the enemy. Not other Democrats.

Until the primaries are settled, Skinner should shut it down.

I don't mean to speak for Skinner, but I'm pretty sure he's not going to be shutting down DU until the primaries are over. I highly doubt that it is up for discussion.

I do. I totally agree, bush is The Enemy. The only thing I have said against any candidates, is that there are more than half of them who will not be able to beat bush. I *think* Skinner said that after the primaries are over, nominee bashing will be disallowed.

9. Your frustration is understandable, however,

DU will serve a valuable service as we go through the primary season. As it gets closer and closer to who will be the nominee, I'm betting people will become more and more truly aware of the eventual goal.

This is politics! It's not pretty! In order to get a tasty sausage, we're watching it get made, that's all.

We need DU. I am convinced we will all get behind the nominee no matter what goes on in the interim.
