4. I think your post is confusing
Many of these photos have been around for awhile. In fact, I used a lot of them in this Quicktime movie.

http://homepage.mac.com/prolesunited/iMovieTheater18.html

Are you perhaps soliciting photos of Miami to ADD to the gallery?

7. I attended one of the protests as an observer, I left dissalusioned
Edited on Sat Nov-22-03 03:42 PM by Bombtrack
I really think that a signifigant percentage of the protesters were hurting there own cause. I had some conversations with a couple union leaders that I had met previously and they agreed with me.

The huge number of people with the anti-war signs reenforced the notion that the protesters were non-free-thinking leftists.

10. Many if not most union/pro-regulation Americans are centrists
And many people who lean-left, yet aren't on the amgry/hard-left(which all too commonly is the leftist equivolent of the dittohead) would realize that at at an anti-free trade protest you protest free trade, not a seperate foreign policy issue.

FTAA and the occupation of Iraq are both foreign policy isssues technicaclly but one is based on labor and trade policy and the other military and national security.

21. Why do I suddenly have that Village People song in my head?
The Village People dressed in riot uniforms. Check out that loser on the far left.

Y-m-c-a ... you'll find it at the y-m-c-a.
Young man, young man, there's no need to feel down.
Young man, young man, get yourself off the ground.
Y-m-c-a ... just go to the y-m-c-a.
Young man, young man, are you listening to me?
Young man, young man, what do you wanna be?

34. From what I understand some of these kids got SHOT! No joke.
We had a caller on the Guy James Show that described a kid on his bus who, when they got back on the bus to return to Naples, told them that he simply raised his arms into a "Y" and they shot him. The caller said that the kid had been shot THREE times, once in the cheek, and was in bad shape.

31. The South

Is the least protest-friendly part of the country I imagine. Hardcore Rethug territory down there. Southern cops go to extremes to intimidate protestors. I'm surprised they didn't kill anyone.

Those protestors got balls.
