Dupe threads suck. Please at least look at page 1 before starting a thread

Even if you don't have search capabilities you have eyes. Each dupe thread lowers the signal to noise ratio of DU. If you want search engine access donate a few bucks to DU and help pay for the new server.

if you see a story already there that's related..just pop the new info into the current thread..

In case you didn't know.. most of the moderators' time is spent dealing with duplicates, so when people are wondering why a freep is slow to get bounced, it could be becasue the alerts are queued in order that they are received, and if there are 15 "duplicate posts" in front of the freep, well...you get the drift :)

Just today we have had at least three threads on why people who object to exporting jobs are Nazis and at least eight or ten on Clinton's recent remarks.

The only things the Incredible Multiplying Rabbit Threads accomplish are to push interesting things off the board in an hour or two and divide discussions of the same topic among so many threads that only people who are here fulltime can follow them.
