Gore Denounces Bush on Civil Liberties

"They have taken us much farther down the road toward an intrusive, 'big brother'-style government — toward the dangers prophesied by George Orwell in his book '1984' — than anyone ever thought would be possible in the United States of America," Gore charged in a speech.

The Senate minority leader, Tom Daschle of South Dakota, said Monday that while he's not ready to support repealing the Patriot Act, he is skeptical of the way it's been used by the White House and said there is "a lot of concern about the assault on civil liberties."

Daschle MUST GO NOW!

1. Daschle sucks
I wrote a letter to him a year and a half ago, when he was showing some backbone and standing up to Bush, supporting him for speaking out. I take it all back, if anyone from his office is reading this!

Whatever the repubs found in his office when they were scouring the Hart Senate Office Building for "anthrax," it seems to be working. Daschle has become just another Bush apologist.

3. We need a minority leader whose seat is safe.
Daschle is permanently terrified of losing his senate seat, so he straddles the line and pleases no one. Why the HELL isn't Teddy Kennedy our leader??? Yeah, I know, it's inside politics.

4. Exactly, Mr. Tommy Mouse is not helping us one bit
We need a minority leader whose seat is safe.

Daschle needs to step down, and whoever takes his place needs to espouse all our party positions (including choice.)

6. President Gore kicks ass
I missed the speech, but loved the recap I read in the paper today. I am sure the morans will think "Thank God he isn't in the White House! He doesn't care about fighting terra! He would be so weak! Bush is God's choice!!!" :eyes:

Times like this I miss the middle finger emoticon. :-)
