I am watching a repeat of Wolowitz's speech right now on CSpan
Edited on Fri Oct-31-03 06:32 AM by La_Serpiente
From what I heard, he gets slammed by the students after at Georgetown University.

When he started talking about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, he was trembling. Then he started talking about the grassroots movement on both sides of the Israeli Palestinian conflict that want peace but worked outside the auspices of the legal government. It is, in fact, a de facto Peace Agreement.

However, I think he realizes how much the US Policy toward the Israeli/Palestinian failed.

He is on the questions right now.

2. As a Democracy we should be able to grill all of our leaders in a public
forum so they get to know what the real people of America think of their policies. Glancing over a paper to get a flavor of what is going on in America doesn't cut it.

3. interstingly, this grassroots movement is left-wing
the Isreali labour party signed a peace treaty with Palestinian authorities.
It is the RW Likud party that keeps dropping bombs, frustrating the grasroots movement that Wolfy praises.

There's a lot to be told about Wolfowitz in relation to Israel, one thing is that Wolfowitz is not Labour.

5. As a courtesy to others could you
get rid of that huge sig line? I don't want to disable the sig line feature because in most cases they are no problem or they even add to the thread. But man, that's one large sig line and it is annoying especially in threads where you post a lot of responses.

Peace
