THREE dead marines who rescued Jessica Lynch?
Did anyone else spot this?:

http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/dmtapper.htm

<snip>

The Department of Defense announced today that Petty Officer First Class David M. Tapper, 32, of Camden County, New Jersey, died of wounds received in action August 20, 2003 in Afghanistan.

Often called upon to conduct the most harrowing missions, Tapper took part in the April rescue of wounded POW Jessica Lynch, then helped recover the bodies of nine American soldiers buried near the Iraqi hospital where she was held, according to friends and the Tapper family.

<snip>

But, duty called again last month, this time sending him to Afghanistan, where an increasingly overlooked and vastly dangerous mission to rout the Taliban and al-Qaeda terrorists grinds on.

Tapper, 32, died there Wednesday while conducting combat operations in a lawless province near the Pakistani border - an area where the military believes the terrorists are operating.

Friends here said Tapper was shot in the back during an ambush. He died later at a hospital at Bagram Air Base, the Navy said.

8. Okay. Who are the others? Notify them and their families.
This reminds my of something I heard a detective say about people who have had infants die in their care.

One was tragic.

Two was suspiscious.

Three is murder.

The rash of murder/suicides at Fort Bragg among special forces troops after the farcical "battle" of Tora Bora.

Here's an archived article from the Fayetteville Observer, and the words of an anonymous special forces officer describing how bin Laden was allowed to escape:

"Special Forces soldiers saw two Russian-made helicopters fly into the area where bin Laden was believed to be, load up passengers and fly toward Pakistan.

"'I said, "There he goes,"' the soldier said."
http://www.cooperativeresearch.net/timeline/2002/fayettevilleobserver080202.html

Shortly after the special forces returned to Fort Bragg, I believe there was a string of troops killing their wives and killing themselves. Four incidents happening in quick succession, I think.

Post-traumatic stress? Or did they see something they shouldn't have, and were talking about it?

LONG BEACH, California (AP) -- A Marine who helped in the rescue of Army Pfc. Jessica Lynch in Iraq was shot to death at a family barbecue, just 12 days before he was to be discharged.

Lance Cpl. Sok Khak Ung, 22, and a family friend, Vouthy Tho, 21, were killed early Sunday in a garage at a Long Beach home by a gunman who fired six to eight shots before fleeing, police said. www.cnn.com/2003/US/West/...marine.ap/

29. Here's confirmation from 9/02/03 on FR:

http://209.157.64.200/focus/f-news/974485/posts

"I wonder how much of that million Lynch will give the family of David Tapper, one of the SEAL team members responsible for her rescue who was killed in Afghanistan. A Bronze Star and a million bucks for what? A private who got captured because of incompetence??? And how many Special Forces and Marine Corps personnel's lives were endangered rescuing her and her fellow unit members because of their screw up? Giving her a Bronze Star was laughable and an insult to all who have received the medal for their bravery in combat. She and her fellow unit members should have received a Bronze Dunce Cap!"

This was in combat though. Kinda different....seems a plausible explanation...certainly Akham's Razor would say he was killed in an ambush, got shot in the back....

Heard some TV promos for the Jessica Lynch rescue movie. Perhaps they want no dissenting voices when the sheep get all worked up about how heroic everything was/is. Can't have real, live vets who might just be lose cannons hell bent on telling the truth.

48. How "IN YOUR FACE"
does the sickness and corruption of the *misadministration have to get before the American people scream in unison "FULL STOP" and put their power behind that declaration? One I was willing to accept as a tragic accident. Two started my stomach churning, but THREE??? Nothing like death to insure that the details of the Pentagon's made-for-TV "feel good" propaganda is never challenged by a participant.
