Edited on Thu Jul-17-03 05:50 PM by demdem
Bush may use executive privilege to protect Robert Joseph who has been outed by NBC as the one who put in the Uranium lie, from testifying. Please do I beg you. Thats just like saying we have something to hide.

4. Blaming the unknown underling....
It doesn't matter if this guy's name is Robert Bob....the
blame is on Cheney, Rice and Bush for lying about the
reasons to bomb the hell out of Iraq.

3. Pat Buchanan just spilled the beans on MSNBC
and announced Joseph's name publicly (Bill had to remind him that it was suppose to be under wraps until the Wash. Post publishes it tonight, although such deals seem stupid on their face).

8. Can he do that?
I thought the executive priviledge was for the President only. I don't think he can extend it to whoever he wants. Certainly not some mid-level guy.

9. This is DELICIOUS ...
Already going to Executive Priv?

Remember how the felonious five gutted the President's legal standing when they were helping the lynch mob? Is this not some sweet, sweet irony?

:D

WTF ever happened to personal responsibility? Bush studied that speech word by word, he knew it was a lie. Why isn't he responsible for the words that come out of his mouth? Who then wrote the lie that Bush is "a compassionate conservative?" Who then wrote the lie that he is a "uniter not a divider?" Who the hell is in charge if not Bush? Cheney? Rove? Rice?

The Secret Service is clearly protecting the wrong fella.

12. Robert Joseph answers to Condi
That is what matters. Mr. Joseph has a superior who was an appointed WH cabinet official. In order to override CIA oversight, Mr. Joseph would have to be someone other than a rogue element. They can't just pin it on this guy.

Mr. Joseph: "Ummm, I acted on my own without any authorization."

Me: B.S. CIA wouldn't roll over on their oversight for a petty bureaucrat.

Like everything else with the Greedy Oil Plutocrats, it's "Do as I say, not as I do"
