My take on things concerning bush* this morning

We won't have to wait for the '06 elections, because of the '06 elections the republicans are going to turn from bush*, most of them still want to keep their seats you know. Impeachment proceedings by 07 '06.

I am apparently more cynical than you, I have a terrible feeling he will there until at least 2008. Unless, that is, people such as you and I start taking that oath to protect the constitution more seriously and get our butts to DC and stay there until this thing is seen through.

refer to here that stopped the VN war, ran nixon's ass off and it's going to take us 'old farts' to do this job too. Its looking more and more each day that the sacrifices we will have to endure will be well worth the effort. They are in a helluva predicament right now. It's kinda like damned if they do, damned if they don't. My take is that they will roll the dice and choose to protect bush and therefore the party.

5. This is the problem with "soothsayer ethics."

People who subscribe to utilitarian/consequentialist/teleological ethics based on the "greatest happiness" outcome of their action must engage in prognostication regarding the outcome. You make a good case for the unknowability of this outcome.

People who subscribe to deontological ethics are not required to map all the dominoes and predict the sum total of all "happiness." Deontologists are constrained only by the Categorical Imperative.

I submit that it is right and good to call for the impeachment of this cabal. I can easily subscribe to the Categorical Imperative in this case - I wholeheartedly believe it's an action that everyone should undertake and I believe the world would be a better place if everyone did act according to this maxim.


Yes, this is a very oversimplified treatment. It is, however, extraordinarily frustrating to see people on DU attempting to make a case AGAINST calling for the impeachment of this criminal regime. Democrats? Liberals? I think NOT!
