Exactly how long did the NYT hold the spy story? A year and... 2 months?

All I keep seeing in the media is "more than a year". So, did the NYT stop this amazing story voluntarily because they were asked to by one of the candidates during the last Presidential election?

That means that they were spewing the swiftboat and flip-flop stuff while stopping a story about Bush deliberately breaking the law.

I really want an answer as to when EXACTLY the NYT got this information and I really want an explanation from them as to why they held it for more than a year.

After the Miller fiasco I wouldn't put anything past those bastards and I am pissed off as all hell about this.

They're already in deep shit because they held the story. If they had it before the election???? OMG. They would be finished. I already see the Times as a rag..... No better than the National Enquirer.
