Did anyone see Russ Feingold on the Today Show this morning?
He was demanding an investigation into the cute little wire tapping trick (:grr:), and they were running the tag line "Maverick Senator" over his name. Now, I try really hard not to overreact to every dirty stunt the media pulls (helps me stay sane, y'see ;)), but this seemed to be a fairly over-the-top and obvious attempt to discredit his incredibly legitimate complaint. Is my :tinfoilhat: on too tight?

1. No, it isn't.
I didn't see it, but I'm not surprised. I guess Maverick is a term for a polotician who tells the truth, cause that is what he does.

3. No, your tinfoil doesn't need adjusting. If it does, so does mine.
I reacted exactly the same way. I would have expected to see that if watching Fox (TV set has rebelled against it, thankfully) but was shocked to see it on MSM. Did you catch the earlier little propaganda opportunity by Gonzales, where he refers to the "revelations" the pres. has made to the American people?? They have literally started talking in prophecy/biblical terms, I'm beginning to think. These people are really dangerous.

4. I'm sick of our media & their complicity in this administration's crimes.
When this country is destroyed once & for all, the media will be equally guilty as bushco.

7. He called himself a maverick in one of his ads last year, I think.
It was the one where his daughter was talking about how proud of Russ she was for being "cheap" and they flashed an article praising him as a maverick in the ad. (If I'm wrong, someone let me know.)

I missed it. How did he do?
