3. I am old enough to BE a Granny
but am not, due to the "culture" of the 21st Century. I accept and WELCOME that.

I am finding that, given the current trend of this country (extreme RIGHT), I am becoming MORE LIBERAL with age and because of it, I really don't give a damn anymore what anybody thinks of me. Take THAT, Mr. Bush and your Religious Right.

I am exactly where I want to be. I have even recommended this blog to my children and their significant others, straight and gay.

5. But the results of your poll seems to point to a majority of "middle aged"
folks. ???

I don't necessarily disagree with you. I'd rather watch Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire movies and listen to the Beatles or Glen Miller or Claudio Monteverdi, and READ BOOKS. :)

Sometimes, though, "in your face politics" is the only option. ;)

7. OK
Your poll:

DU Female Age 35 to 48 = 40%
DU Female Age 48 to 58 = 30%

Therefore, according to your poll, 70% of female DUers are of so-called "middle age." The inference I drew from it, after including your OP in this thread, is that DU is NOT dominated the "hip hop" generation, but instead the "bebop" generation. :)

8. "bebop" generation? Whoa....I think that was the WWII folks and most
of them are in the Nursing Homes or have passed on.......How about the "Rock & Roll" plus the "Beatles Generation."

10. Aw, c'mon! You don't like bebop?
Dizzy was awesome! I saw him play at Jazz Fest... not in the 1940s. ;)

9. I just wish we weren't so quick to be divisive. We finally have the cabal
being "found out" by increasing numbers, so we seem to have turned against ourselves: religion, position on the left of center spectrum -- age? We need all of us. Jimmy Carter, for example, is very religious, not pro-choice, and old. Murtha is old, and what many would call a DINO. Richard Clarke is not young. The religious Left is, perhaps, rising from the dead, and needs support. MoveOn and Michael Moore are different -- hellraisers, and thank God for them. Eminem is to be thanked, as is George Clooney. Some exciting new political candidates joined the military and served in Iraq, while most of us never would have.

I am different, you are different, all DUers are different. The fight has hardly begun, and is far from over. We need all of us.
