How do Joe & Sally Bushbot think that voting Rep. is in their interests?
Do they think voting for people like Bush will get them richer?

1. Red herring though it is,
what's important to them is that Bush-Almighty is their last line of defence against us uppity fags.

2. Joe and Sally were told that dems are ruining the country in the 90's...
as they watched their stock account quintuple.

Yup, unprecidented gains in the economy, lows in crime, and historic exports is a sign of a pending Bulshovic state. So they voted republican.

How do you recognize a communist? The flip flopping. So they voted for Bush...the "non-government building" non-flip flopper.

And now, you see, Bush won't cut and run...except from the national guard...and Afghanistan, which, look they just had elections too...oh and look, most of the candidates are warlords!

3. Mass hypnosis?
It would seem to be the only plausible explanation. I wish I could understand it myself, maybe I could then communicate with them and change their minds. As money appeals to the basest of human insticts, one would think it a no brainer, and one would be wrong.

4. They vote on not wanting gays next door
and on wanting to deny women they've never met abortions (although their own daughter would be sneaked into the clinic after dark, you betcha, no shame of a bastard in THIS family)and they vote to show everybody they're great Christians who are gonna be the first Raptured up to heaven. They aren't voting against their own interests, they're voting against all those OTHER people.

Anyway, it's not like the Democrats have offered them anything unless they're yuppies.

5. IMHO
because they don't think any of the negatives of the last 5 years have anything to do with them. It's not *their* kids that may be shipped off to Iraq or elsewhere, oh no, their kids are going to college. It's not *their* jobs or pensions that may go pffft, their jobs and pensions are safe. It's always just other people who "find themselves" in an unfortunate situation as a result of the misleadership of Cmdr Bunnypants and company. And when it finally begins to affect them personally, it's gonna be too late for most of us. And at that point, I don't think I'll feel like saying 'tole ya so. I don't think I'll feel smug because isn't it Bushco's uber smugness that got us into this fine mess?

6. Joe and Sally hate gays and blacks, and they know the GOP does, too.
They have found their home. There's nothing rational about it.

But there aren't enough of them to survive the gas/oil gauging this winter, and so we'll take back the house if not the senate. Most people just care about surviving, and at this point, they're losing faith in the great white party of the north.

The house is ours in '06.
