Only the spiritually empty would equate Christmas with mercantilism
and slogans on pieces of cardboard. The true spirit of Christmas resides in the heart,in the home and in the church all the year around as does the spirituality of any commemorative date in any religion. I nominate Bill O'Reilly for the road show Jacob Marley - the guy who "didn't get it" in a Christmas Carol.
