Wasn't Rangel the Dem who clobbered Thomas when Thomas had the Capitol police remove the Dems from a room? Am I remembering this correctly? Thomas came to the floor and tearfully apologized for his hubris. Boy, those Rs can squeeze out tears when they get in trouble. Just like toddlers.

36. Pay-back's going to be a bitch.
They're piling up a lot of debt and the shit's going to hit the fan eventually. It's obvious the poor and the ever shrinking middle class won't be able to pay it off. And it's even less likely with an economy that's laying off the blue collar wage earners like autoworkers and lower level management types.
We're headed for a real disaster but maybe that will finally drive a stake through the heart of the GOP.

U.S. Rep. Brady Arrested for DUI in South Dakota

(posted 10/12/05 AM)

A Texas congressman that once represented most of Brazos County says he takes ``full responsibility'' after being charged in South Dakota with driving under the influence.

A South Dakota trooper stopped U.S. Representative Kevin Brady’s vehicle Friday night for a problem with the tail lights.

It was homecoming weekend at Brady's alma mater -- the University of South Dakota.

Results are pending on Brady's blood-alcohol level. The legal limit in South Dakota is point-oh-eight percent.

If convicted of the misdemeanor charge, Brady, 50, faces a fine of up to $1,000 and one year behind bars.
