Bush Responds to Dean: 'We're Going to Win' in Iraq



U.S. President George Bush Tuesday said U.S. troops in Iraq need to hear people and leaders in the United States still support them.

Bush was asked about comments by Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean, who Monday told San Antonio's WOAI, "The idea that the United States is going to win the war in Iraq is just plain wrong."

"I know we're going to win," Bush said, "and our troops need to hear, not only that we are supportive but that we've got a strategy that will win."

"Oh, there's pessimists, you know, and politicians trying to score points but our strategy is one that will lead us to victory."
