The 1993 WTC bombing, the bombings of our embassies in Africa and the USS Cole attack all happened during Clinton's presidency.

Al Qaeda hates America because we have blindly and unquestionably supported Israel in whatever it does. They also hate that we stationed troops in Saudi Arabia.

There's no question that Bush has exacerbated hatred for America by Al Qaeda and just about everybody else around the world but blaming Bush for Al Qaeda ignores the problem of US cultural imperialism and blind support of Israel that has taken place under republican and democratic administrations.

No John, Al Qaeda does hate America. In fact, they hate most people. They hate (and have dedicated themselves to the overthrow of) the government of no less a heathen, tie-die clad, pot-smoking liberal paradise as Saudi Arabia. They are a genuine menace. Osama Bin Laden is not the next Hitler, but only because he doesn't have the German Army to do his bidding. The fact that Bush is the best director of recruitment Al Qaeda has ever had does not make him any less of a world class dirtbag. But do you think Bin Laden would have called of 9/11 had Al Gore been president?

On the one hand it appears that Bin Laden does have some empathy for his own people. On the other hand though, he is in the terror business so it seems that neocon policies have been good to him in creating a massive recruitment drive for al-Qaeda.
