MUST READ CRITIQUE of BUSH VICTORY PLAN

Daily Dissent does a thorough job (line by line) of blowing apart
OUR NATIONAL STRATEGY FOR VICTORY IN IRAQ:
Commentary by Nostradamnthem

"The defect here is that the plan is all smoke and mirrors up your dress America."

Nostradamnthem goes on to critque EVERY line of OUR NATIONAL STRATEGY FOR VICTORY IN IRAQ:

Here are some snippets

• Reform Iraq's economy, which in the past has been shaped by war, dictatorship, and sanctions, so that it can be self-sustaining in the future.

• How? What changes will they make? Invite McDonalds and Wal-Mart to provide jobs?

• Our comprehensive strategy will help Iraqis overcome remaining challenges, but defeating the multi-headed enemy in Iraq -- and ensuring that it cannot threaten Iraq's democratic gains once we leave -- requires persistent effort across many fronts.
• Our Victory Strategy Is (and Must Be) Conditions Based
• With resolve, victory will be achieved, although not by a date certain.

• Resolve never guaranteed any victory, except when the mouse ran up the elephant’s trunk – but in Iraq, WE are the elephant.

• Our mission in Iraq is to win the war. Our troops will return home when that mission is complete.

• Define win the war. Without that, everything above this statement is crap, and this one puts the lie to it all. This is the statement of a bloodthirsty warmonger. It is not as if we were invaded at home, or as if Iraq was ever a threat to Americans.

• By delivering a strategic setback to the terrorists and keeping them on the run;

• It’s like chasing rats with a stick. We may kill some, but they are breeding faster than we can kill them, so it’s us that are going to die tired.

• By demonstrating to our friends and enemies the reliability of U.S. power, the strength of our commitment to our friends, and the tenacity of our resolve against our enemies;

• Just what is this ‘to our friends’ baloney? Didn’t we invade them because they were supposedly a danger to the US? That isn’t a friend

• A country where oppression -- and the brutal imposition of inhumane practices, such as those of the Taliban in Afghanistan -- is pervasive.

• As opposed to when the US kicks in the doors of sleeping families and practices abuse and torture, and shells people with white phosphorous. Much better, right?

• Enemy Lines of Action. The enemy seeks to ...
• Weaken the Coalition's resolve, and our resolve at home, through barbaric mass-casualty attacks, public slaughter of Iraqi civilians and hostages, infliction of casualties on Coalition forces, and use of the media to spread propaganda and intimidate adversaries.

• Yeah, let’s prove how tough we are by letting them keep killing civilians until there aren’t any left to kill. That’ll fix them.

locals will all not make money.

How about this. How about if you get the peace. Then you let Iraqi business people import from China and start their own corporations and small & medium business.

What is this? Communist China?

It there no point in local Iraqis becoming medium sized business people because Wal Mart will just crush the world in the end and crush them all?

I don't see how Walmart helps? Anyone in the world can import cheap stuff from China.

How is taking wealth out of Iraq and putting it into the pockets of Sam's descendants going to help Iraq?

2. Re: "Define win the war."
That should be changed to read, simply, "define the war," something B*sh has never done in an honest manner--because he can't.
