Laura "Compassionate Heart" just introduced * for speech of the
day on HIV/AIDS. These are getting old. Fast.

Anyone else watching on CSPAN?

1. Orchestrated like a symphony orchestra....
Yesterday they showed his mucho-macho whup-ass side. So, today they have to show is compassionate side. These things are so predictable.

Anyway, all I see is a major league asshole! :puke:

2. I saw it on CNN....
I don't think anyone believes what Junior has to say.

I watched him speak--until I felt as if I was going to hurl my breakfast. He uses the exact tone and speaking manner on every speech.

This actually works in our favor, because the majority of Americans believe that he lied on Iraq and that the war is a failed mess. I think his lack of credibility--and the mistrust people have of him--will carry over to other areas.

As I watched that speech, I just kept thinking, "I don't believe one damn word you're saying" and I imagine most people feel that way.

On another note:
I thought it was telling that Laura began her speech by saying that World Aids Day is about celebrating how we have helped those with AIDS and she launched into a glowing description of Junior's compassion and his dedication to the cause. I agree that we should spotlight how people are helping. However, World Aids Day is about the people who are suffering. This day is about the people with the disease who need help---it's not really (as Laura suggested) about how generous George Bush is.

Then again, when you're married to a sociopathic narcissist with a Napoleon complex--I suppose it's pretty much always about him.

is how he take that tone, and look, as if he is talking to someone really stupid. The "it all makes simple sense, you idiot" tone.

on edit: that tone just makes me want to smack him

6. He speaks that way because that's the tone people take when
they try to explain things to him. Just conditioning, nothing more.

7. Yep...Junior's strained, squinty-eyed speech demeanor...
...I like to call it the constipated cowboy routine.

No matter what the subject--he uses the same shtick. Why does the man have a "shtick" anyway? He seems very uncomfortable and fake.

Clinton speaks from the heart and talks with everyday people all of the time. It was disturbing to watch Junior speak post-Katrina--after watching Clinton speak with such genuine ease to the Katrina victims.

Remember the movie "Clifford" in which Martin Short played a disturbed child? Charles Grodin looks at Clifford (Short) and says, "Can ya look at me like you're a human boy? Ya can't do it! Can ya?" That's exactly what I want to scream at Junior!

The man is not human! He's playing some character!

The constipated cowboy rides again!
