I would say don't let the door hit you in your ass on the way out. I hope they'd get all that they deserved. There is no room in politics for that shit. Well, in my opinion, there shouldn't be any room for it, of course, politics is a big whorefest. It's dirty. I don't like it. People think nothing of shamelessly selling their souls nowadays.

I don't care who it is, Dem or Repub, if you disgrace your office and this great country by using your position as a public servant so you can steer some business to a person or company who bribed you then you deserve all the bad things that get thrown at you. If that means jail time, well, so be it, you should've thought about that before you accepted bribes then.

Trafficant, along with folks like Zell Miller and Ben Nelson, make me glad I'm an Independent and not inclined to vote for people who don't share my liberal values on issues of critical importance. It amazes me that people are willing to tolerate these corrupt people solely on the basis of a hypocritical claim of party membership. I find it even more appalling that the custodians of such labels don't work harder to keep it meaningful. I understand the 'system' - it doesn't make it ethical, and that's more important. To me, at least.
