Throwing out an idea...

I have been thinking all week about an idea I had last weekend. And would appreciate your input.

Why doesn't DU have a "financial" forum? Or do they?

We talk about buying blue. Which is a form of spending our money wisely. Why not have a forum where DUer's can discuss investing and other...um..."capital enabling" ventures.

For instance, ask any posters that work in investments if they'd be willing to give clinics on wise places to put your money...how to read the markets.

I just figure the more financial success that we as Democrats have with our money, the more political power we have. We tend to beat the Republicans in the abundance we get in donations. But they tend to be significantly smaller then the donations that their corporate buddies hand down.

I believe there are more important things in life than money. But hey, if we are trying to spend at companies that donate blue, then we should have exponentially more influence if the members of our party as a whole have more financial independence.
