Iraq and Abramoff could be the best thing to happen to the Left since FDR

This describes in part how the corrupt republicans have handled the catastrophe in Iraq and their free-wheeling and dealing in the Abramoff scandal.

Iraq is not going to get better, only worse. And with poll numbers for Bush already in the crapper, it doesn't look like many Congresspeople running for re-election next November are going to want the "the third rail" of the political world (namely Bushmeister himself) anywhere near their jubilee, old-time religion revival, traveling snake-oil fund raising events.

If the Dems play their cards right, the republicans might be able to run for the toilet but not many public national offices.

If there really were justice in this world, they'd all be in Gitmo staring down the throat of a snarling German Shepard soiling themselves.
