Teen People tells Neo-Nazi twin singers, "Heil, No!"
Mag tells 'Nazi' singers: Heil, no!
By BILL HAMMOND and NANCY DILLON
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS

Teen People nixed a story about Hitler-loving teenybopper twins Prussian Blue - amid outrage that the glossy had promised to avoid the words "hate," "supremacist" and "Nazi" in its piece on the racist singing sisters.

A Web-based teaser for the February story originally called the hatemongering duo "aspiring musicians" and compared them to wide-eyed sensations Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

<snip>

"The last thing we need is to celebrate hate in this country," said Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, who helped lead a Monday demonstration outside the office of Teen People's parent company Time Warner. "I'm absolutely thrilled it's not running."

<snip>

The freckled twins from Bakersfield, Calif., call nonwhites "muds" and play a video game called "Ethnic Cleansing." They wear tartan plaid skirts and Hitler smiley face shorts - and croon songs that glorify the Third Reich.

6. Indeed. In the era of ProTools, they manage to suck hard.
And not just because of their message.

2. IMHO...this is all a stunt.
Everyone wants their 15 mins.
Granted it is a repulsive way of going about it, but perhaps after their 15, the will "see the errors of their ways" and reform, thus giving them yet another shot at the golden 15 mins.

4. I wish the media would stop saying they're from Bakersfield, CA
They are NOT from Bakersfield.

The family lived here for just a few years. The mother sold their house and moved away months ago.

The area has enough problems with white supremists without having these two no-talent Hitler lovers thrown in our faces every other day.

5. Unfortunately, they ARE from our area here
We're in a small town a couple hours north of Bakersfield, in the national parks area. I have a good friend here, who knows the mom in this situation very well, used to be friends with her. She said she always seemed very normal until she really started coming under the influence of her dad--who is a white supremacist. We get them around here, especially in the really remote areas.
Anyway, she said it was all down hill from there. The mom went wacko, and took the kids with her.
