Whatever people read into the vote, the fact that the war was debated for two hours on the floor of the House signals a new era.

mocks me for my C-span viewing.

I mock him back for his Cartoon Network viewing.

I'd say we are even.

Such as dems shouldn't bad mouth the war cause after all, they just voted for it AGAIN.

17. I have to agree with you, present would have been the right
thing to do but then again, I am not a political student well informed enough to know all the rules of the game and sadly it is all a game...tonight proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt..

These same idiots went on and on about MM saying he was nothing more than a film maker playing with the facts, well news flash, it is exactly how the political spectrum is run, you have your directors, producers and actors etc, all set and ready to take the stage...and all are compensated...

the same rules apply, just different labels.

I honestly can't think of a GOOD reason for doing so. I can think of reasons, surely, but none of them are "good" per se.

Because if they did they wouldn't
be able to set in motion a new vote giving a time table to get out. They did not want to be seen as cutting an running they wanted a thoughtful withdrawal. Measured so as not to scare the real republicans,

16. This would never be happening without the outpouring
of public support for a change of course. We need to have more of a plan than the dumbed down "We'll stand down when the Iraqis stand up". It's looking like despite the elections etc that they are not going to "stand up" as that term is defined by the Administration.

Their plan really is to win. How?...By winning. How do we win? By staying the course. So how do we know when we've won? Well, when we win, we'll tell you we've won.

*sigh*

Wait and see before you judge - and not every member of the press is the same.
