The People Will Subordinate The Corporations
So much of this drama has to do with the tyranny of the Corporations.

Let me explain how it works out in the end: The People will subordinate the Corporations to the will of the People. End of story.

See, it has a happy ending!

1. Corporations will kill the resistance. End of Story.
When we finaly get up the nuts to stand up, we will be killed. This is something I hold deeply true, though I am not pleased with it, know that it is the only outcome.

7. Sort Of Funny Response From "PowerToThePeople"
I don't claim to know the future.

I figure the corporations will treat the planet as the yolk of an egg, in order to try to colonize the galaxy. That's what I'm seeing.

14. Well, Let me see. Oh ya, I have the right to my opinion..
This is a future that I believe will happen. I do not "know" this, but it is a very educated guess. Corporations kill people all over the rest of the world (3-rd world countries) who stand up against them. Why wouldn't they do it here too?

And, I think you're right. Without being too hokey, "The Meek Shall Inherit The Earth."

2. It's possible.
The people will have to form new corporations to fight the old ones, preferrably cooperatives. I can't really see why it wouldn't work with determination and watching one's back.

6. I agree with this route, starting Socialist style corporations..
This could be the key. As long as the are not just bought out by the Fascist corps as they begin to take hold.

Edited on Wed Nov-16-05 11:40 PM by Tace
We'll have to peg the currency to something, and energy seems like the likely candidate.

I'm all for a replacement of capitalism, but have yet to hear or read of a viable alternative.

I'm as open to alternatives as they come.

23. Why Am I Reminded Of "The Matrix?"
Where everyone is a battery?

What I'm saying is that a global currency will be pegged to energy. So, the value of energy will determine the value of the currency.

Personally, if I have any food, it's yours, too.

25. I don't quite get that whole "Matrix" thing
it still comes down to "he who has the gold (energy) has the power (money)"

as for the free giving of food...

But the golden rule: "He who has the gold, rules," will be "He who has the energy, rules," I figure.
