1. I suspect all Ipods, regardless of content, will be swiped
Edited on Tue Nov-15-05 08:50 PM by Lex
by the teachers as contraband.

4. LOL
Yeah, really. When I was in high school we had to leave cd players (this was before ipods now) in our lockers and cell phones and all that stuff. Starting my junior year we couldn't carry our backpacks around.

6. That will work for about 4-5 years.
By then cell phones will have sufficient space and playback quality to use them as video devices.

10. Most schools disallow cellphones in class
so I'm not sure that will matter.

19. Most schools disallow mp3 players in class, too.
Hallways, between classes, and lunch/free periods are another matter.

5. Here's what one looks like

The new video IPod:

I have a regular ipod and love it! I can put all my cd's onto my Ipod and when I go on a trip or something like that I don't have to carry all my cd's and worry about losing them or dropping them and they break or something like that. You can hold up to 15,000 on my Ipod and this is the very basic one. :D They're really nice when you're at the beach.

14. My 40 year old self enjoys the heck out of my IPod.
Not a teenager anymore, but I love my IPod.

Particularly because I basically archived a ton of my CDs on it, and put the CDs upstairs in a box, out of the way.

Now I have everything on my IPOD.

Plus I've downloaded some interesting "Podcasts" from NPR to listen to while travelling.

I think Air America Radio allows you to download archived shows from their site too onto your IPod. Listen to it, then erase it.

8. We just downloaded our entire CD collection on the 60 gig
Ipod. Now all of our CDs are categorized and every song at our fingertips. It hooks into our stero system or can be used in the car too.

It's pretty cool.

16. I saw one for the first time last week.
One of my students was listening to it (before class. Yes, I have a very rigid "no gadget" policy). It didn't have a screen, though.

Well, if they start watching porn in class, they'll just have to share with the rest of the students -- just like they have to share their private conversations, cell phone calls, and any other extra-curricular activities they indulge in during class time.

More repuke "family" values at work. And at school.

15. All technology is designed to aid your access to images of naked people.
Yes, even the vile toaster oven is to blame.

The only solution is more naked people, so that the thrill abates.

Would churchies dare to photoshop nekkid images of BushCo and send them out, in an attempt to break people of a love of porn?

18. Call me anti pop culture...
but I would never buy an iPod. Simply because it's over hyped and over priced. Seriously, the going rate on one of those things is between $200 - $300. I can get a whole computer for that price. Not to mention a decent mp3 player.

20. Those damn kids!
They'll have the best porn around!

When I was teaching, most of the dope I confiscated was all buds! It was absolutely sticky with resin. Really amazing shit.

Now, the teachers are going to have their noses rubbed in it again!
