16. true, but then the West Wing in general isn't much like real life
The fictional Democrats are much too articulate and the fiction republicans are much too honorable

2. Of course. But it was pretty well done, I thought.
It was interesting to see the parties' positions expressed articulately and without the usual mealy-mouthed blather. Which, of course, proves it was a fantasy.

7. I kinda missed the "it's hard work," line
although I thought Vinick was going to use it in his closing remarks.

They missed their marks untold times, especially Forrest Saywer lol I would have preferred this same episode done the regular, taped way.

10. Fantasy -yes but real issues with some real answers,
It wouldn't hurt for our side to learn a few lessons on rebuttal.

13. West Wing is a TV fiction show, not a documentary. Although real "debates"
arguably are staged and scripted events such as this. Repeating talking points isn't debating.

14. I'm sorry, is this an update from the Dept. of Redundancy Department?
...hehehe... I think the first clue for most folks was that Liberal talking points weren't being shouted down by a screaming right-wing monkey.... Oh, that and the fact that the Republican candidate was intelligent and could form a cohesive sentence...

it's sure a lot more real than the actual political debates. And how did that nice liberal Hawkeye end up as a Republican, anyway? ;)
