Request: a "TWEETY" Forum - Please?????
Every other post is "tweety says this" Some of us choose NOT to subject ourselves to White House propaganda read by lazy reporters.

Anyone else here choose NOT to watch programs like hardball, faux & CNN? Should DU have to hear about EVERY propaganda line put out?

Can we have a "cable news channels" forum?

1. It's been asked for before and the answer was to use your
hide thread feature.

5. I know that some folks who are still at work
like to hear what is going on on the various programs. I don't like the guy myself, but I like to keep informed.

7. Right now we are seeing the problem in Real Time
Seeing Tweety and the otehr media presstitutes trying to understanding something that falls outside of their usual "frame" is an educational experience.

That's worth discussion, because it reflects the zeitgeist, IMO.

Kind of a non sequiter though, innit.

10. "This violence doesn't represent the middle class ... "
He as much as lumped (a) people who Chavez appeals to, (b) the poor, and (c) troublemakers INTO ONE GROUP ...

This INFURIATES me! I've been fearing I'm no longer "middle class" and now I know that's the case, since Chavez's words and policies DO appeal to me, as opposed to the fascist, ruling class policies of the Bush Cabal. I applaud those in Argentina for having the guts to get out in the streets and make their voices heard and only wish there were more people like them in this country who were willing to really fight to take our country back from these lying bastards.

12. What pisses me off is that the media ignores the non-violent protests
Something happened eariler today that was much more important -- which was a large and diverse crowd of people from all walks of life trying to point out the problems with corporate "free trade" and supporting economic justice and democracy.

But the media largely ignored that. It was only when the violent extremist fringes turned out that the presstitudes paid any attention.

By stifling legitimate and peaceful dissent, these fools in the media bear some of the responsibility for the very extremnes they deplore.
