Freepers don't know the difference between fact and opinion.
I looked in for a second and found this commentary being treated like it was some sort of investigated journalism.

Plamegate's Real Liar(L.A. Times no less!)
LOS ANGELES TIMES ^ | November 2, 2005 | Max Boot

And the dumb asses react.

"By 2003, Plame had apparently been working in Langley, Va., for at least six years, which means that, mystery of mysteries, the vice president's chief of staff was indicted for covering up something that wasn't a crime.

AMEN!

What I've been saying for months!

Kelly

I had to click through to the source link before I'd believe the L.A. Times really printed this.

Of course, FR and the blogosphere has known this for months, maybe a year+?

2. You Are So Right
I have come to realize that people don't want to listen to me because my "opinion" is different than theirs. The problem is, it is not an "opinion" it is a fact that I try to tell them. I finally did say that. Don't know if it sank in but I'm going to try to keep changing the world, one person at a time. :-)

3. Relevant Dana Milbank quote re Bush Voters and facts/opinions
<snip>

Milbank cited a poll from mid-October which showed large majorities of Bush supporters believed that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction at the time of the invasion and that Saddam Hussein's regime was providing substantial support to al Qaeda. Milbank said this showed that liberals and conservatives are actually working not just with separate views, but with separate facts.

"It used to be the saying, 'You're entitled to your opinion but not your own facts,'" Milbank said. "Now you are entitled to your own facts."

The Bush administration, Milbank said, has skillfully manipulated the era of 24-hour news, using reporters' deadline pressure to divert their attention away from checking the truthfulness of the administration's statements.

"There's really no penalty for not telling the truth," Milbank said.

4. "Everyone's entitled to their view of the facts."
That's what a RW acquaintance once said to me after we had been arguing (politely) about 2004 election irregularities. I threw well-documented and substantiated information at him and he mainly countered with some RW-financed report. "View of the facts" is key. I think that used to mean opinions but, put his way, it's really illustrative of how facts are respected by these guys.

In the words of George Costanza, "Remember: It's not really a lie... if you believe it."

5. In the words of Homer Simpson ...
When Lisa was trying to correct him with facts "Oh honey those are just facts. You can use facts to prove almost anything."
