2. The capitalism practiced in the US has no God in the equation.
The more I talk to people in NJ, the more I feel confident that people have had it with the capitalistic whores and their greed. I believe in Capitalism, but with a Christ like vision (the same that lead to the rise of the middle class, till Reagan got elected).

If we actually paid common workers a fair salary, there would be no need for 85% of the charity, that the RW'ers feel so superior doling out! It makes them feel superior and the recipient inferior. I am a Christian, but Jesus, would not participate in that tom foolery and neither will I.

5. We frankly don't know Jesus' economic ideology
If anything, he struck me as a proto-libertarian socialist with a message that people should come together and cooperate of their own free will given by God to take care of one another and fend for one another instead of competing and tearing each other apart in a race to see who is the winner, but I'm speculating here.

9. I do agree with what you are saying, however, I believe that the
New Testament has a verse, I will look if you ask (that went something like a fair days labor for a fair days wage). That is the problem, the corp. exec's have greedily inflated their wage (do a 20yr. analysis) and they decide the wage of their workers after they have embezzled millions and billions out of the corp.

I know that Jesus chastised those that took more than they should have and denied a wealthy man who wanted to live in excess. If we call ourselves a Christian nation (not my desire, again as a Christian) then should we not actually follow His teachings?

11. Utopian socialist.
Libertarian socialism acheived through the voluntary renunciation of property by dedicated individuals forming communes.

3. I believe you. I got the idea from a story in "Hasidic Tales of the ..

.. Holocaust" (Yaffa Eliach). The story, abbreviated a bit, goes something like this:

Churchill asked the Rabbi of Gur for advice on defeating the Nazis and was told: 'You can choose the natural or the supernatural way. The natural way is for angels with flaming swords to destroy them. The supernatural way is for millions of the English to parachute into Germany.' Churchill, a rationalist, chose the natural way ...

12. Well, the ruling class will remove the Bush faction eventually.
They are too incompetent for retaining, as Iraq proves, and too self-serving and corrupt for effective service to ruling class interests.

But that will not save us, that will take the actual removal of the ruling class, which will indeed either take revolution or the eradication of the human species.
