Thank you , Big Oil! Thank you, Pharmas!
And where do you think the bulk of the proposed $7B will go?
Without a known antidote to the still unknown influenza pandemic (wasn't that fun, listening to the idiot try and verbally navigate this?!), the moron will pour billions into the coffers of the pharmaceuticals.
First, pad the corporations of his fellow criminals; next, a big "atta boy" to his big oil buds; now, a little profit pill for the lads at the pharmaceuticals. Fear pays!
What's, or who is, next?? What other big corps does the idiot owe for the coup?

1. Well, they already threw the credit card companies their bone....
of course there's big energy and big pharma that you mentioned, they've opened up the national forests for the timber industry and for mineral exploitation, the Insurance Industry? What have they done for the Insurance Industry lately? They may have slipped up somewhere. Other than that, I think they've turned the Treasury over to just about every BIG Corporation in the country. If they have missed someone they still have 3 1/2 more years to accommodate them. Maybe.

3. It's called fascism. Get used to it unless their flunkies can be
kicked out of the white house and congress.

4. Might as well just hand out extra keys to Ft Knox

Turn over the Denver Mint, let them print their own money.
Why not take a percentage of our paychecks and demand donations to the corporations.

Everyone SHOULD be outraged, but he's "fighting the war on terr". We have to wait until he "wins".

5. "connecting the dots"
This is one of the aspects of this admin that I find so infuriating. Just how many "dots" have to be connected for the public to wake up to this madness??
The talk shows on Air America today were "connecting the dots" about the war build-up. Elsewhere, it's the judiciary. But it's the whole freakin' enchilada! The war, the graft, the paybacks, the outrageous looting of our money to pay for it all.
When does it end? Three years is way too long.

9. At the rate things have been happening (bad things)
Three years DOES seem eternally long and hazzardous.
I fear the chief numbskull wil launch on someone.
You know he wants to.

6. The banks got theirs too
After hundreds of years our brilliant modern day legal scholars finally figured out that it is proper to use the federal courts to sue any federal bank. I no longer deal with the national bank that also made a mockery of the tax laws with their lease agreements that had no substance but saved hundreds of millions in taxes.

7. Don't forget the military industrial complex
We spend more on armaments than the rest of the world combined. We spend money on a missle shield and deploy when they cannot even hit a target sending out a signal of where to hit it. And yet where the military is engaged they cannot get the soldiers decent food or body armor.

8. Don't forget the educational racket
Edited on Tue Nov-01-05 08:38 PM by firefox
Most local taxes go for schools. Even after WarCriminal left no child behind, the education departments cannot even write their own material and put it online. Instead we have kids lugging around entire books when even if you wanted to be archaic, they would only need a portion of the book of every subject.

Look at the scandal involving Neil Bu$h in Florida where they gauge the taxpayer with software that should be written and owned by an education department somewhere if it were truly needed. Does algebra, chemistry, history, and English change all that much and how much would it take to update the many versions of online material that should be out there.

People should be outraged.

10. What irritates me is they had 75% profits while production was down
4.7%. They didn't do a damn thing for the extra dollars except change the prices at the fuel pumps! They can't see paying the US tax payers a windfall profits tax.. Oh hell no.. according to them that would discourage incentives. Take your windfall profits and cram them up your assholes! While you're at it, cram some of those profits up Bush and Cheney's too!
