WASHINGTON - As the Justice Department announced that the prosecutor in the CIA leak investigation would release documents and hold a press conference Friday, the lawyer for presidential confidant Karl Rove said his client has been told he will not be indicted for now but remains under investigation.

Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald is expected to release some documents in the case around noon ET and then hold a press conference at the Justice Department at 2 p.m. ET.
