1. Well, as long as people say they're not going to donate
because the Democrats aren't doing exactly what they want, it's going to stay that way. Furthermore, the Democrats will have to keep going to the corporate donors, making them less likely to do the base's bidding in the future.

Think of it this way... if you donate (even if you don't like the way the party is acting at this time) then *they'll* owe *you*. If the whole base pools our resources and becomes the major funding source of the party, then the party will have to listen to all of us. That's why Dean's "Democracy Bonds" program is such a great idea. But it seems a lot of people would rather harp on pet peeves than start making the party pay attention to us.

We are being out-donored(?) Come on everyone...give a little bit. It's gunna take a boatload of cash again. I would love it to come from the little people, the grass roots. They have their grass roots and they're whooping our asses!

6. Exactly
Those posts always make me want to tear my hair out. I appreciate it at least when they say they'll donate to individual candidates, but we can't act outraged about the lack of money the Democratic Party spends if we won't give them any. The top 1% of the country holding the bulk of the wealth is giving exclusively to Republicans. Of course they're going to have more money.

2. Until the Democratic party returns to it's basic principles and
starts fighting for me, my environment, my country and my rights they will get none of my money. I will send donations to candidates who support my beliefs. I will not send donations to a party that will then give them to another Zell Miller. END OF DISCUSSION.

7. united we stand, etc...
can't our party be a democracy like the country we believe in? Why are you insisting that we all think with one giant brain. I know it's not perfect, but it's BETTER THAN THE ALTERNATIVE.
