It's 'painkiller addiction'.

1. More Specific "Prescription" Pain Medication
The assumption is this was issued under a physician's care and was for the actual treatment of a the ailment he claims he suffered.

Time to clear this noise up and fast!

3. whores.
Good exchange on CNN last night, though - I thought the top of Wolfie's head was going to come off:

Alan Dershowitz: Look, I have great personal sympathy for him. You have to understand, though, the checking in is a legal tactic. That's not something his doctor told him do. It's something his lawyer told him to do. You always check yourself in when there is an investigation of that kind. It's not coincidence that he checked himself in after he was publicly exposed.

Wolf: You can't simply say he was doing this for legal purposes!!

2. Welcome to Media Hell, morebunk!
The Whore Nets will bend over backward to excuse Ru$h's behavior to a greater extent than they bent over forward to smear Bill Clinton.

Yet The Media is Liberal. Go figure.

4. Pain killer addiction makes it sound more white collar
I bet he relapses. He is only going to rehab because he has been exposed, I don't think it is because he actually wants to.

Is he out of a job? I hope so.

9. Malloy predicted a job loss but....
I doubt it. The whores at Clear Channel could probably care less, although they'll probably issue some candy-ass statement which very lightly addresses Rush's illegal use and then goes BIG time on the horrors of drug addiction.

Pigboy is a big money machine for a big corporation and the Minister of Propaganda for the Bush White House which can only serve to help corporations like Clear Channel.

5. Bernie Ward made a great point last night....
Rush 's delusional explaination that he became "hooked" from perscription drugs due to his back pain issue is a bit misleading. Bernie said that he only admitted his addiction to pain killers because he got caught! He would still be out there doing his "business", getting high and to all that it implies.

No need to say he is brave for comming out with the admission....he would never of shared or entered treatment if he had not been busted. He has been to rehab twice and never felt compellled to be brave and up front then.....

He's trying to CYA......thats all he is doing.....

6. Yeah, since when can maids prescribe pain medicine?
Seriously, by definition a prescription medicine has to be prescribed, right? If it isn’t prescribed it’s just plain old drug abuse.

8. Every junkie caught has a legitimate excuse now.for their addiction
They can now claim it was to kill pain...the pain of illness, discrimination, and poverty. This administration gives me all kinds of pains...

These, people (the pundits and other dittoheads) have never had a compassionate word to say about anyone and now they are slobbering all overthemselves with 'compassion' for the biggest lying hypocrite of all time...Rush. Someone whose words have demeaned, smeared, and hurt so many people with problems. Just shows you what kind of people control this country...and they are liberals.

11. Rush aiding terror??
George W. said it first, You buy drugs you support terror. I love it when GOP gab ends up slapping them back in their faces. Old George W. used to support it too, with his nose.

15. Victim
They've been framing this story by referring to rush as a "victim" of pharma addiction.

The same people who support three strike laws for dopers, have suddenly seen the light. Praizzzzzze Jeeeeeeeezus! Of course, just as in Bush v Gore, this is a one time exemption.

It is not the drugs; it's the hypocracy.

17. I'm just furious over this
This misleading statement that he got hooked on "prescription pain medication" implies that he was taking it under a doctor's care. It sounds as if his physical problem is about the same as mine. I had back surgery for a herniated disc, and it was not effective. I took Lortab for a while, but stopped taking it after I took one just to get the day going when my pain was minimal. I've heard some of these people on the radio the last few days saying that doctors get people hooked on these medicines because the patients do not understand how addictive they are. I've never heard of anyone taking these medications who does not know this. If they don't know, between the MD and the pharmacist, they will be informed. Also, the pharmacy includes information about drug side effects with your prescription,in case you still don't get it. I live with pain most of the time, and one thing I certainly would not be able to do is swing a golf club. Incidentally, when I was taking the Lortab I lost quite a bit of weight, due to having low appetite. He was taking them to get high, just like any addict. The double standard being applied to this case just makes me sick.
