Stephanie Miller or Jerry Springer?
She's on my local AAR from 9-11am, but I can listen to him on my computer.

I find her supremely annoying and un-funny.

Springer is a little too nice and not brilliant, but I like him.

2. Agreed on Stephanie...
and you understated how un-brilliant Jerry is, his style is to be objective to the point of disgust. He is unlistenable.

7. I don't listen for long
but I think of all those people who used to watch his ridiculous television show. Some of them think he's God, and they vote.

9. The heckling of Bush right now is priceless
She has THE best humorous soundbytes. I'd have to respectfully disagree with you. She rocks; Springer's cool but I think he's more suited for evening or afternoon not mid-morning. In fact, he and Franken should swap shifts, IMHO.

12. I like the idea of Jerry and Al switching shifts.
I don't dislike Jerry but, many times, he's too middle-of-the-road and discusses too many non-political, non-topical subjects for my taste.

13. I love Stephanie
Her & Jon Stewart are the only ones who can make me laugh at the crap thats happens everyday in this country. C'mon, Puffy McMoonface? That name makes me giggle now everytime I see him, instead of wanting to pop him in his lying mouth.

14. redundancy makes her unfunny, imho
I like her show for the most part and listen every day on my way into work, but sometimes she just runs things into the ground and it gets so redundant that I have to change the station or pop a CD in. I love her smokey, sexy voice though. Great radio voice for sure. I just wish there was more substance and less repetition.

Randi Rhodes, now THERE is a radio talk show host extraordinaire! I try to never miss her! She is fekking brilliant! I'd love to see her debate some of these dumbass rightwingnuts!

I've never listened to Springer.

20. Randi's never redundant???
Actually, few talk hosts AREN'T. I mean there are times when even Malloy's frothy rants get a bit tiring. BUT they're all still great at what they do.

Now, I'll tell ya what's annoyingly redundant about Steph's show (as well as all the shows via the New Haven webstream): THE SAME THREE SONGS DURING THE COMMERCIAL BREAKS!!!!

Look, I KNOW it's the end of the world as we know it and they comin' to America and that damned satellite is in my eyes, OK, FINE! Could someone over there change the gol-durn CD??? Yes, granted KGO does that creepy lonely trumpet line but, at least, you could have FUN with it. Try to guess when the sound comes on and smugly point your finger at the speaker, or something like that.

16. I like them both (please don't flame me!)!
I generally switch depending on the topic.

Jerry argues an issue like we learned to do in law school (he's a Juris- Doctor-law-degree-graduate); whether I want to listen or not depends on the topic, generally.

I enjoy Stephanie's humor.

Like I said, I switch according to topic.

It's like the Head Start of political talk.

21. I like anyone who speaks truth-to-power, so much so that I can...
...overlook things like their voice, their sense of humor (if it doesn't agree with mine), etc...

Stephanie and Jerry both speak truth-to-power, so I'm a fan of both.
